Overview

Using Breathwork in a Therapeutic Setting: The Pause or Relaxed Breath Hold Workshop with Sarah Hunt

The way we inhale and exhale can completely change not only how we feel but can shift our stress hormones, our heart-rate, and even the areas of the brain that are activated! How much we breathe in, and how quickly we breathe out matters more than we realise. Did you know that almost 70% of us are ‘overbreathing’ or stuck in a ‘stress breathing pattern’? And anyone can shift this poor breathing habit simply by re-focusing on our exhale!

This session is a short but deep-dive into one aspect of Breathwork — the ratio between our inhale and our exhale. We will consider two specific breathing practices that work on this principle. Learning how to shift the ratio of our inhale and exhale can radically change everything about our inner health. In fact, if there was one thing we should all know about breathing for our physical and mental health, this would be it!!
