Using data and digitisation to streamline the property development Independent Monitoring Surveyors' role.

The Independent Monitoring Surveyor acts as the 'eyes and ears' of the lender / funder. In uncertain times, it is even more important that the monitor has a full grasp of the key information and metrics - to properly assess the risk.

There is a rich source of data available to a project team and its advisors - and much of this data is either overlooked or not properly analysed. If the data is collected and stored in a systematic manner, then key insights can be gleaned. The information becomes even more valuable if it is accessible to analyse and benchmark historic trends, and across entire portfolios of projects.

In this workshop seminar, practical examples and case-studies will be used to demonstrate the key metrics and data points that can be gathered for a development project - whether it is the development of a single dwelling, or a huge regeneration project. The seminar will include practical demonstrations with interactive financial modelling tools and the use of APIs (application programme interfaces) to gather additional information from 3rd party sources.

The seminar will be of interest to anyone involved, or looking to be involved with property development - and in particular lenders, funders, investors, and stakeholders.

The seminar will run for around 30 minutes, and will be followed by a Q+A session
