Using data as a policy maker
Date and time
Description
The use of data, and open data in particular, can change the way we do public policy and make decisions. But it has to be made more accessible, and public policy makers and decision makers need to know how it can be useful to them, on a practical level.
That's why we're hosting this morning event in Winchester on Monday 30th November. We'll begin by hearing from colleagues in Australia who have successfully used data to improve decision making on a city district level. From there we'll have a Q&A and workshops around the practical use of data for policy making in our area.
The event is being organised by data experts KnowNow Information, Mark Braggins from Open Data Aha!, ODI Hampshire and the cross-party think tank Southern Policy Centre.
Hampshire Hub are providing the space and useful information to work from.
The event will be held in the Performance Hall at the Discovery Centre in Winchester. More about the venue here.
