Inspiring Co are delighted to announce the latest in our series of talks & workshops on the subject of cryptocurrencies.

This session will focus on practicalities of using the Digital Bitbox cryptocurrency hardware wallet to securely send & receive Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ethereum based ERC20 (so called ICO) tokens.

The workshop will include :-

A basic introduction to Bitcoin including; the currency, the protocol, addresses, digital signatures, secure hashing, how transactions are created and blocks are mined via proof-of-work on the respective Bitcoin & Ethereum blockchains.

A basic introduction to Ethereum and how it compares to Bitcoin.

A basic introduction to Ethereum "smart contracts" and how ERC20 (ICO) tokens are created and transferred.

A demonstration of using Digital Bitbox with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ethereum (ERC20) standard based (ICO) Tokens.

including:-

- Hardware & Software overview.

- Out of the box set-up, configuration & private key backup/recovery.

- The Digital Bitbox Bitcoin wallet app.

- Using Ethereum with MyEtherWallet.com [known as MEW].

- Using Ethereum ERC20 tokens with MyEtherWallet.com

Workshop delegates will be eligible to purchase a Digital Bitbox at 20% discount (IE £48 incl VAT) on the day and benefit from direct assistance with setting up the device.

At the end of the course delegates will better understand

- How Bitcoin & Ethereum work.

- How Ethereum ERC20 tokens are created and transferred.

- The importance of HW wallets for ensuring private key security in peer-to-peer cryptocurrency networks.

- How to conduct Bitcoin & Ethereum transactions securely.

Delegates wishing to obtain a Digital Bitbox on the day should consider bringing along a computer based on Windows / Linux or IOS OS in order to be able to setup their HW wallets on the day - but this is not essential.
