Event description

Description

Are you looking to the evidence when planning improvements to your whole school provision?

Do you want to use evidence to inform your approach to supporting children’s speech language and communication?

If either of these questions link to your strategic planning this year, then this workshop is for you.

The National Association of Head Teachers found in a recent survey that children’s speech language and communication was the greatest concern for head teachers when considering children’s school readiness. Looking to the evidence to address this issue and improve children’s outcomes is critical.

What can The Communication Trust do to help?

We have been contracted by the Department for Education to deliver practical workshops for senior leaders in education to support them to:

  • Unpack the principles of evidence informed whole school provision,

  • Develop an evaluation strategy that helps their school to assess what works for children’s speech language and communication, and

  • Consider ‘what to do and NOT to do’ when leading evidence informed practice in their school.

We have a prestigious line up for the afternoon including highly experienced speech and language therapists and influential practicing teachers who will be sharing their experiences of applying and engaging with evidence in practice.

How can I sign up?

Tickets have been heavily subsidised by the Department for Education and are priced at only £50 each.
