Event description

Description

Working in conjunction with NHS England and NHS Improvement, PEN are delighted to annouce a third 'Using Insight for Improvement' Roadshow. These are a series of events where we plan to bring some of the excitement and best practice from this year's National Patient Experience Network Awards into the regions.

Over each day we will be hearing from several of our winners and finalists who have used feedback and insight to drive improvment in healthcare to showcase their work, we will be hearing the latest news from the Insight & Feedback Team, and we will have the opportunity to network and discuss key themes arising from the presentations.

Clare Enston, Head of Insight & Feedback for NHS England and NHS Improvement, will be talking about the implications of changes to the Friends and Family Test, for which new guidance is expected to be published over the summer, and how providers and commissioners can prepare for implementation in early 2020. She will also be talking about good practice in analysing “free text” comments from patients and the public.

Each day is focussed on sharing what is working well, learning from each other and having the opportunity to discuss your own challenges with like-minded professionals. This event will be of interest for people who are responsible for improving patient experience or managing measurement or insight, particularly in provider organisations or local commissioning.

The organisations that will be joining us to present and discuss their Patient Experience projects in Leeds will be:

Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Making The Friends and Family Test Fabulous!, Amanda Hynes

Serco Health Limited, Nobody is ‘just a ….’. Empowering Support Staff, Cathy White

Nottingham University Hospitals, Carer2Theatre - Improving the Theatre Experience for Confused Adult Patients, Glenn Alexander
