By Friends of the Earth
Online event

Overview

Explore our datasets and interactive maps. We’ll show you what’s available, where to find it and how it can strenghthen local campaigning.

During this webinar, we’ll showcase the different datasets and interactive tools created by Friends of the Earth. You’ll learn what’s available, where to find it and how it can help you understand the climate and energy challenges in your community.

We’ll cover a range of data sets, including:

  • Our new local environmental data tool – locally relevant data on issues covering climate, energy and nature.
  • Senedd data – a version of the local environmental data tool for Welsh campaigners ahead of the May 2026 Senedd elections.
  • Air pollution data – identifying local air quality hotspots.
  • Renewable energy opportunity data – showing your local area’s potential for clean power.
  • Heatwave risk maps – understanding which communities are most at risk.
  • Index of multiple environmental deprivation – highlighting where environmental harm overlaps with inequality
  • Plus: where to find more data on transport and jobs

We’ll also explore together how these datasets can be applied in local campaigns – including ahead of the elections in May.

There’ll be plenty of time for questions throughout.

After the session, we’ll share:

  • A short video showing how to make your own local data map
  • Links to all datasets and resources
