About this event
This training is aimed at anyone working with/supporting children or young people in any setting across education, healthcare, social care, in the community or those caring for children at home.
This training session explores the use of music to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. Participants will learn about the positive effect of music on the brain and how musical activity can help to improve mood, emotional expression, communication and social skills, and build confidence.
Participants will learn more about the value of using music to bring together children and young people and will provide practical tips and activities to try out with young people who have any type of emotional or mental health needs. The session will offer plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion.
