Sensory-motor approaches to working and how our bodies are a wealth of information about what is going on in our client’s world.
About this event
In this workshop I will be introducing sensory-motor approaches to working with clients and how our bodies are a wealth of information about what is going on in our client’s worlds. Especially in a time when most work is being carried out online, using our own bodies as information (body of information) can help develop and maintain the therapeutic relationship even whilst working remotely.
I have been a therapist since 1996 and over the years have worked with many clients suffering from PTSD. Since 2002 I have worked with women suffering from PTSD and trauma, and in my private practice I work with individuals and couples who have experienced trauma from many different experiences. I also work as a trainer and a supervisor in a variety of settings. My style of therapy is relational and my aim is to create a safe space for clients where they can begin to reclaim their identity after the trauma they have experienced.
