Moderation thrives on collaboration and should be an ongoing, year-round activity that teachers want to engage in. In this session, you'll discover how Pobble’s online moderation tool will ensure your moderation sessions are positive, valuable and improve the consistency and accuracy of writing assessment judgements.
You'll learn how to organise and lead effective and engaging moderation sessions, both that take place in real-time and asynchronously. You'll develop the knowledge and skills to support your peers in making robust writing assessment judgements and learn how you can use the tool to identify curriculum celebrations and areas for further development.
The session is led by Pobble’s Head of assessment and moderation, who is an experienced moderation manager and lead moderator for the STA.
We will engage in practical activities, using Pobble’s online moderation tool, giving you firsthand experience in improving your school’s moderation processes. Therefore, please make sure you have tested your sound, and ideally video, before joining the session and can access Zoom as well as your Pobble moderation account.
