About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Do not book a Researchers from East Anglia ticket if this does not apply when the Researchers from other regions (UK) tickets are full, email Georgina on georgina.norris3@nhs.net to be added to the waiting list to hear about the next programmed sessions in Autumn/Winter as the waiting list for researchers from other regions (UK) is full.

Sessions are free for students and staff from the NIHR, NHS, UK universities, public sector institutions and registered charities based in the UK. Please USE a work-associated work email to register (e.g. .nhs.uk, .ac.uk etc.). This session is not suitable for researchers from the private sector. Please contact the organiser if you have any further questions.

Please note if you do not attend, without cancelling or notifying the team in advance. We will cancel any further tickets booked. We are seeing between 30-40% drop out rate and have large waiting lists- please allow another researcher an opportunity to attend.

Communicating and disseminating research is one of the most important steps in the research pathway but is often overlooked. Patients and the public can play a really important role in helping us to write, produce and share information about in research in accessible ways that will reach their public audiences.

Join us for this interactive session as we look at writing for lay audiences, other formats for communication and tools for sharing our research and involvement opportunities.

This course has evolved from 'Writing lay summaries for health research'.

Please note we work on PPI with adults; what's discussed can relate to all audiences; however, we do not specifically cover PPI with children or young people.
