Description
Are there things you’ve always wanted to ask about social media but don’t know where to start? Not sure of whether it’s your tweets or your Facebook page that would suit you best? Or maybe you just want to know what those hashtags you see on the television are all about?
If so this free session is for you. Talk About Local and The CultureVulture is hosting this event at Darlington’s arty hub, Cafe Create, to help people get the most out of social media.
We’ll introduce you to some of the people using these free digital tools and platforms to good effect so whether you’re interested on a personal, business or community basis, there’ll be plenty of advice and support on offer to help you get your voice heard.
Social media can be a simple and powerful way for community groups, active citizens and voluntary organisations to use the internet to connect, collaborate and communicate. They often help develop vibrant civic conversations and create social capital in neighbourhoods.
This event is part of a series called Talk about arts, culture and place and is for artists, culture lovers and anyone who simply just enjoys their local area and who wants to let other people know about the vibrant communities across Darlington and the Tees Valley area.
There’s no previous experience or specialist equipment necessary - that appetite to explore is the only true piece of kit required!
