Event description

Description

If you tend to use lots of direct quotes in your essays, or you’re not sure about how to use sources to support your ideas in your work, come to this workshop to learn about how to effectively use sources to add authority to your writing. In this workshop, you will also learn about how to paraphrase and summarise your readings, and how to use direct quotations appropriately in your essays. The aim of this workshop is to help you use your readings more selectively and appropriately to add greater depth of meaning to your argument and analysis.

This workshop is only for students studying in the School of Social, Historical, and Literary Studies (that is, students studying English Literature, History, Journalism, International Relations, Politics, or Sociology). Students studying other subjects should contact the Learning Development Tutors in their School or Faculty.
