Learn about the John Muir Award, a nationally-recognised environmental award scheme that encourages everyone to care for wild places.

About this Event

This event is for any Forest School Practitioner based in and around the South Downs National Park. The event is being supported by the Surrey and Sussex Forest School Associations.

An introduction to the John Muir Award with a day of fun activities (outdoors and in), walks, talks and presentations. By the end of the day, you should understand how you can use the John Muir Award at your site(s) with schools and groups. We'll cover how to write a proposal and give you ideas for activities and themes that will complement your Forest School practice and setting. Training will be delivered by the South Downs National Park Education Team, a.k.a. Jonathan and Amanda.
