Date and time
Location
Online event
As part of Dementia Action Week 2022 with its theme of 'diagnosis', we introduce the Living with Dementia Toolkit and what it offers.
About this event
This is a free online event via Zoom. We will start at five past two (14:05) and end at five to (14:55) to allow people to get between different events. We are the IDEAL dementia research programme, and have our main base at the University of Exeter.
In this first session of the IDEAL Webinar Series, we introduce you to the Living with Dementia Toolkit. This online toolkit is full of resources to offer hope, inspiration and ideas on ways to live as you choose for people with dementia and carers. It was co-produced with experts by experience.
Click here to visit the Living with Dementia Toolkit.
In this session you will:
- hear about the research evidence base underpinning the toolkit
- be pointed to particular resources which would be good starting points if you're newly diagnosed or have a new dementia diagnosis in the family
- hear directly from some of the people with dementia and carers who co-produced the toolkit
You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions! We intend to have 25 minutes of presentation and 25 minutes of Q&A.
We will record the session to allow others to watch it afterwards. However, we will edit out questions if you don't want to be seen. One survey will be sent out after the event after which we will delete your contact information. If you would prefer to book without registering on Eventbrite, please email IDEAL@exeter.ac.uk.
