Event description

Description

This class will show you how to give a great, cheap haircut without having to go anywhere. Our volunteer instructor Annette will teach you the basics on using clippers and scissors to perform a simple haircut or trim for your children, friends, or family members. Annette is a licensed hairdresser from North Carolina with over 25 years experience in cutting hair of all kinds. This class will be offered monthly at the USO Center and we offer space for both participants and those who want to watch and learn.

If signing up as a participant, you should bring your own cooperative model to practice on. You do not need to sign this person up individually - they will be included in your ticket. You may also sign up as a spectator so you can watch and learn and then practice on your own at another time. All participants will need to bring the following:

220v clippers

Guards for clippers

Scissors & Comb (basic set)

Cooperative model (only if wanting to participate)

Cape, or something to wrap around the model to catch hair

We will have 5 spots available for participants with their own model, and 5 spots for those who would just like to watch and learn. Sign up quickly to get your preferred spot!

Please also note our no-show policy:

*The USO please asks to remember, these are free programs that we are offering the community and we hope for everyone to get a chance to participate. No-showing 2 times, without justifiable reason, will prohibit customers from signing up for any other Discover programs for 1 calendar year after the 2nd missed tour or program. If you cannot fulfill your reservation, please cancel via Eventbrite, or let us know as soon as possible, no less than 48 hours before the event, as we will be happy to open your spot up for someone else.*
