Prospective students looking to join us in Year 10 or Year 12 from September 2017 are invited to join us to take part in up to 3 workshop sessions, whilst parents will be invited to hear a presentation from Mr Barber - Principal & Chief Executive, followed by a tour of the college.
Visitors are asked to arrive between 5.00pm and 6.00pm to meet with a number of representatives from some of our employer partners and subject teachers in The Hangout, our 5th floor diner.
Our employer partners are keen share their industry knowledge, experiences of how they are already working with our students and the types of employment opportunities available to students within their businesses, locally, nationally and internationally!
At 6.00pm, all visitors will be asked to move into the Lecture Theatre, where students will be broken down into groups and taken off to participate in up to 3 workshop sessions over the next 1 1/2 hours. Workshop sessions will give students a real insight into college life at UTC Warrington, covering Engineering, Science, English, Maths and Computing.
Meanwhile, parents will have the opportunity to hear more about the curriculum on offer at UTC Warrington from September 2017, ask any questions and gain a better understanding of what makes UTC Warrington different other schools and colleges in Warrington and surrounding areas. Parents will then be invited for a tour of the college and a peek into the workshop sessions taking place on the evening.
Applications can be made for a place at the college during the evening, with prospective applicants reminded that any applications received before the 9th December will be entered into a prize draw for a brand new iPad mini in time for Christmas.
With limited places available in Year 10 and Year 12 for September 2017 we recommend you apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Applicants are welcome from across the North West, the college is conveniently located within the new Stadium Quarter, which is a 5 minute walk away from Warrington Central train station, Warrington Bus Interchange and a 10 minute walk from Warrington Bank Quay station.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is a pay and display car park available to the right and front of the UTC, which is costs 60p per hour up to £2.70 for the full day.
Alternatively, you may consider parking on the Tesco / Warrington Wolves stadium, which is approximately a 5 minute walk away or the Golden Square car park is also only a 5 minute walk away from UTC Warrington and free after 4.00pm on a Thursday evening.

Born out of the skills gap identified in the Warrington Skills Commission in 2012, which identified a shortage of skilled Engineers in Warrington, UTC Warrington is a dedicated 14-19 academy with specialisms in Science and Engineering.
