On the 8th December Student Support's brand new Mental Health campaign have organised a 2.5/3 hour mental health workshop for students to attend. The workshop SAFETALK will prepare participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide, provide initial help to keep them safe and connect them to suicide first aid/support resources. This course helps to build knowledge and skills aimed at increasing participants confidence to talk to people about their thoughts around suicide.
The knowledge gained from this training should make you more alert to your own feelings and mood. If you are unsure whether or not this course is for you, then please contact us before signing up.
All participants will recieve a certificate of completion and 3 hours towards their Mental Fitness EDGE Award, which requires them to participate in 20 hours of Mental Fitness voluntary work.
