UWL | FlightPad: Future Pilot Skills Event 2026

Ensuring you have the right skills to be the pilot everyone wants to employ is as important as choosing the right flight school. Come and find out what you need.

On Saturday 17th January 2026, a unique event will occur for the first time. Bringing together the leading Flight Training Schools, as well as industry leaders from the major airlines, we will host an event that gives you a chance to:

1. See if you have the aptitude skills required

2. Technical workshops that talk you through what the job really involves

3. Access to simulators from home-based to a fixed base 737 for free!

4. Chance to meet the Flight Training Schools

5. Opportunity to discuss your career options with experienced pilots and current trainees

6. Loads of free or discounted products and competitions where you can win flying and simulator time, as well as equipment to help you learn!

7. Speaker sessions to give you direction on the skills required.

What's the catch? There really isn't one! Just turn up and be a part of the day: 10:00 - 15:00. Did we mention: this year the event is FREE!
