UWN Workshop: Shaping the Future

This is a collaborative session focused on designing education, outreach, and engagement opportunities that will open doors for the next generation of women in uncrewed technology.

At our first Uncrewed Women Network meetup, the community voiced a shared passion: we want to see more young women inspired and empowered to join the uncrewed and drone industry.

This workshop will explore how we can actively shape that future through education, mentorship, and visibility.

Together, we will discuss:

• What educational resources or programmes are currently missing
• How we can introduce uncrewed tech into schools, colleges, and STEM pathways
• Opportunities for mentorship, internships, or shadowing
• Real stories and insights from women already blazing the trail
• How UWN can create a structured approach to outreach and empowerment

This event is designed for anyone who wants to help build a more inclusive and accessible pipeline into uncrewed technology, whether you’re an educator, engineer, founder, pilot, or student advocate.
