About this event
Our innovative MSc Contemporary Drug & Alcohol Studies (CDAS) is a social science programme aimed at students who wish to develop a specialist knowledge of substance use, policy, and practice. The programme links evidence, policy and practice to infom how state and society can best respond to substance use.
We provide a supportive and transformative learning experience to develop students’ critical thinking and transferable skills to maximise employability. Our graduates take up employment in drug/alcohol services (in the statutory/voluntary sectors) and in broader health, community, youth, criminal justice, housing, social work and social care professions, as well as in policy and research environments. If you are employed in services already, our course is useful for career advancement and continuing professional development.
We offer full times, part time, campus and distance learning options. Admission to MSc, PostGraduate Diploma and Certificate is with an honours degree in social sciences or equivalent, or, relevant work experience.
