V I S A J E is a journey into the world behind the visage, the mysteries we unravel as travelers in this human experience.

On the night of the Full Corn Moon (Algonquin, Ojibwe) the opening will feature videos created for Latin Roots Duo Alma Sangre's latest release, Dame Dolor, as well as a short performance.

A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to help community members affected by detainment and deportation.

What is Birdcage?

Birdcage is an artist workspace in a Downtown LA loft that shares projects featuring under the radar creative work. Birdcage is a place to gather with community and celebrate the uniqueness of Los Angeles in a welcoming environment.

Is there parking?

There's plenty of street parking close by. Please secure belongings and take the usual safety precautions when parking in an urban area. Please do not park in the parking lot for the building, or you may be towed.

How do I get in?

Go to the gate at the corner of Long Beach Ave and 14th St and our friendly guide will let you in. We're on the 3rd floor, but if stairs are not accessible, you can get a ride up in our vintage freight elevator.
