This year sees the is the 6th Annual Elders Awards. It is a time to celebrate and say a public thank you to elders in the community who make a difference to the lives of others. At a time when some may say they should be taking it easy, many are quietly doing some outstanding work to help others, without expecting public acknowledgement, rewards or payment.

Throughout the year members of the community nominate elders who has either been an inspiration to others, a champion for the community campaigning on various cause, used their various talent to help and support others, or has been the backbone of the community etc. The ages of elders nominated over the years has ranged from 65 - 100 years old.

This will be a VIP event for elders, their family and the community to come together and celebrate. The evening will consist of a 3-course meal, live performances, the all important Awards Ceremony and dancing to round up the night.
