V&A_An Other World
Event Information
Description
An Other World is an immersive performance conference, which draws together some of the highlights from the festival.
InTRANSIT Curators O'Neill/Ross write: “Hosted by conceptual politician Giuseppe Marinetti (a.k.a. sound artist Joseph Young), our sharing begins with a tale from Portobello where writer Natasha Langridge sets an intimate encounter with re-development and Occupy Democracy though the Memoirs Of A Tree. The Chelsea Arts Collective present excerpts from a multi-generational performance research project centred around the 100+ year-old housing association Affinity Sutton, which faces both opposition and support for its controversial redevelopment plans. In between all this The Working Party Theatre Company together with local performers become Fast Moving Consumables as they explore the future of employment in an age of ideological austerity.”
