Event Details

You are invited to attend the launch of new research by ILC-UK (International Longevity Centre – UK), the specialist think tank on the impact of longevity on society.

12.00pm (lunch)
12.30pm - 2.00pm (research launch and debate)

The research is based on interviews with older people in Australia, Japan, the UK and Canada, with a particular focus on influenza immunisation. It will highlight the gaps that need to be addressed to achieve a better protection of older adults against influenza through vaccination.

The aim of the research and our discussion on the day is to ensure that the voice of older people informs work to improve the uptake of adult vaccination, specifically in relation to influenza.

This research and debate will feed into a range of international, regional, and national policy priority areas including:

  • Anti-microbial resistance
  • Vaccine hesitancy
  • WHO post-2020 strategy on vaccination
  • WHO 2018-2030 global strategy for influenza
  • WHO upcoming new influenza position paper
  • Interest in the development of improved flu vaccines for older adults

Lunch will be provided, and the event will offer an opportunity for networking with colleagues as well as more formal discussions.

The ILC-UK report and event has been supported by Sanofi.

If you are unable to attend, please feel free to cascade the invitation within your organisation.
