About this event
LSBU encourages all staff and students to have the Covid-19 vaccination. It’s really important we all not only protect ourselves but also the LSBU community and our family and friends. Having both does of the Covid-19 vaccine is the best way to do this.
We know that while the majority of people are being vaccinated, but that there are still many people who do not understand the vaccination programme or have concerns about the vaccine. This is why we have set up some sessions so you can hear from health experts about the Covid-19 vaccination and ask any questions.
Vaccines have already saved thousands of lives and should enable us to return to a more normal way of life. Since beginning the vaccination programme, a vast amount of data has been collected which continues to show that the Covid-19 vaccination is both highly effective and safe.
The data shows that people who are vaccinated are less likely to get Covid-19 and if they do catch Covid, then they are far less likely to get seriously ill and are less likely to be admitted into hospital.
Having the Covid-19 vaccine means:
• You can better protect yourself and those around you from Covid-19
• That the risk of you catching or spreading Covid -19 is lower
• We can bring both staff and students staff back to the university safely
If you are still unsure, please attend this session and ask any questions that you may have.
