London's original "Underground dining" experience, Basement Galley will be hosting an intimate group of lovers for a supper club in one of London's unique and exclusive venues, a historic, decommissioned 1967 Victoria Line tube carriage.
Treat yourself and your hot date to an aphrodisiac-filled 5-course tasting menu on an iconic London Underground Carriage. Celebrate your romance in a truly unique location in London style, all with bubbly and wine! Enjoy sitting in one of our booths or a romantic table for two, this is the only way to celebrate Valentine's Day!
Preparing your romantic feast will be Head Chef Alex Cooper is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu School, Paris, training under some of France’s top chefs, including Maitre d’Ouvrier de France, Chef Nicolas Bernadé. Alex worked at the AA-Rosette winning Rufflets Hotel as well as setting up a catering company, AJ’s. Most recently Alex was invited to work at two Michelin Star "Sketch" on Conduit Street, London.
Are single spaces available for this event?

Is there a dress code?
We want you to feel comfortable. Some people like to dress up a bit but others choose the t-shirt and jeans options. We just want you to enjoy your evening - up to you how you want to impress your date!
Is this a BYOB event?
We will be spoiling couples with bubbly on arrival and carafes of wine. Further to that, a carefully selected menu of wines, cocktails and soft drinks will be on sale on the night from our bar.
Will I be sitting next to other people I know?
Habitually, we always like to mix friends and strangers together - people have met their future partners that way! However, for this weekend only, couples gaze into each others eyes and whisper sweet nothings across a candlelit tables for two.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes, we do!
We want as many people to enjoy our food as possible. In the booking form you will be asked for each guest's name and specific dietary requirements. Please note: unless we know in advance about any dietary needs we may not be able to provide on the night as cooking and storage facilities are very limited at the venue.
When & Where
Basement Galley started as a supper club in a flat in Brixton when Cordon Bleu Chef Alex and city solicitor Tom ran out of money and wanted to have a dinner party.
Now a company in its own right, Basement Galley hosts a fine dining supper club the 'Underground Supper Club', in a decommissioned 1967 tube carriage as well as offering bespoke private dining across the capital.
Expect fresh and unconventional Skandinavian flavours presented in a relaxed French brasserie style.
