Valuation Update Event (Academies)

Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) alongside its Actuary, Hymans Robertson, are providing an update on the 2025 valuation to employers.

The actuarial valuation commenced on 31 March 2025. The valuation determines the funding position of GMPF and contribution rates for each participating employer for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.

This session is aimed specifically at Finance Directors from GMPF’s academies and multi-academy trusts, and will discuss the following:

· Progress to date with the 2025 valuation

· Whole Fund results

· General themes from our recent Funding Strategy Statement consultation

· GMPF’s approach to administering academies’ LGPS participation

· Academy and MAT contribution rates for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029

· Questions and answers
