The trainer
Dr Stuart Astill has wide experience over 25 years applying innovative analytical, strategic, policy and operational thinking. He operates in a variety of settings from large and small private-sector organisations to international government and non-governmental organisations. He has extensive experience in national government advising at Ministerial level and in large-scale public sector operations and contracted-out services.
Much of Stuart’s work centres on emerging high-profile issues developing evidence-based strategy and policy. Underpinning his strategic heart, Stuart’s strong analytical skills span, statistical, economic and operational research functions.
He has academic credentials in the strategic analysis of complexity, value for money analysis and audit, policy making and political economy. His consultancy practice encompasses the EU, various parts of UK government, the World Bank Group and international private clients where he applies his skills to create insights improving decision making, operational efficiency and VfM.
He is an experienced speaker, trainer and coach on technical subjects, personal development and management/leadership skills.

Those who need to understand the concepts around VfM for accountability, business or to persuade others.What is the aim of the training?In almost any situation the concept of gaining Value for Money is an important one. This is inherently important but is also often needed for accountability or reporting purposes. This training allows delegates to understand and work with a range of VfM concepts and better understand which elements to apply, when and how.
This means that delegates will be able to create or shape the systems within their organisation towards achieving and demonstrating VfM to lead to improvement at all levels. They will have the tools to do this and the vocabulary and understanding to explain it to others.What will you will learn?
