Event description
Explore painting in the style of Van Gogh

About this event

On this one day workshop you will explore the painter Van Gogh's painting techniques to create your own Post-Impressionist painted still life.

You will discuss and practise various painterly techniques and study some of Van Gogh's different works before starting on your own composition.

You'll be guided through the process and will be encouraged to develop your own colour palette to work from.

Who is the course for?

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those who would like to progress from drawing to using paints in their work. The course will be taught in a step by step way with tutor advice and guidance to build your confidence in drawing & painting.

Do I need to bring anything?

Some materials will be provided including easels, basic drawing materials & paper to work on. Students will need to bring some canvas paper or a canvas board to work on and some oil or acrylic paints to work with. Students can also bring a photograph, object or image to work from for their composition.
