Event description

Description

Following a successful first year of the Vanguard Campaign, the Good Homes Alliance is embarking on a further year of work to encourage developers, housing associations and local authorities to adopt higher sustainability and quality standards for new homes.

This afternoon seminar is the first of our 2019 Vanguard Campaign events and provides the opportunity for local authorities, housing associations, developers and the supply chain to hear from colleagues about their experiences of trying to deliver lower energy, higher quality & healthier homes, and to explore how the housing industry as a whole can move towards higher standards.

Progressive local authority housing departments and developers recognise that building to higher standards will lead to improved health and well-being for occupants, help reduce fuel poverty, create better neighbourhoods and contribute towards achieving global carbon reduction targets.

Over 140 delegates attended campaign events in Cambridge, Exeter and Leeds in 2018. To find out more about further events planned for 2019 or to support the campaign, please contact Julian Brooks, Network and Programme Manager at julian@goodhomes.org.uk.
