· The Leontia Gallery presents VANITAS a group exhibition exploring the transience of life, through the art form of still life, from 18th September – 29th September

· VANITAS celebrates life, with food, flowers, colour and rapture whilst simultaneously exploring our fascination with the fragility of life.

· This immersive exhibition features original paintings, drawings, prints from leading contemporary artists across the world.

Highlights include:

French-Vietnamese Agnes Lefevre, a hyper-realist artist who will be showcasing stunning still life paintings of falling feathers and larger than life hand crushing desserts.

Surreal still life paintings and prints from award winning artist Alexandra Gallagher

Emily Malone an emerging “pop-renaissance” artist will be showcasing a new and playful series incorporating Greek pottery and flora.

Emerging artist Emma Black will be showcasing floral sculptures made from polymer clay.

Prize winning portrait painter Jean-Luc Almond will be presenting a new colourful series on aluminium delving into texture itself.

Critically acclaimed Magnus Gjoen, previously under the wing of Vivienne Westwood, will be showcasing new tapestry influenced still life’s.

Internationally renowned Marit Geraldine Bostad a Norwegian abstract colourist, presenting bright and bold canvases.

Pippa Smith celebrated for her vibrant and expressive still-life paintings, blending bold colour palettes and playful compositions to evoke the warmth and serenity of the Mediterranean.

Emerging artist Rebecca Reilly will be showcasing her intricate printmaking of squids, flora and fauna.

New emerging talent from Suzie Silk who will be showing pieces highlighting the memento mori aspect of still life art.
