Vantage will be holding a seminar highlighting developments for Jersey residents and trustees in respect of the recent consultation relating to the "non-dom" reforms with reference to Inheritance Tax ("IHT") and UK residential property structures.
This seminar will cover the main risks and issues with regards to the consequences of the many changes which will come into effect from April 2017 and how they can be mitigated.

Janet Paterson has a strong technical background in UK and International tax, she is a qualified chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor, a member of the society of trust and estate practitioners and a member of the institute of indirect taxation. Janet is also a member (formerly chairman) of the Fleet Chapter of the VAT Practitioners Group, a member of the International Tax Planning Association and a member of the International Fiscal Association. Janet left the position she held for nearly 5 years as the partner responsible for international tax and VAT at the Tunbridge Wells based accountancy firm of Creaseys LLP to build her own specialist firm.
Paul is a Chartered Wealth Manager dealing with private clients and trustees and has over 25 years’ experience in the finance sector both in the Channel Islands and the UK. He is qualified as a Chartered Wealth Manager and has also completed the STEP International Diploma, enabling him to have the technical knowledge and understanding for clients who may require structuring, or may have existing wealth structures in place. He is also undertaking the Chartered Financial Planning qualification, which is seen as the gold standard for financial planners.
