The final stage of our 2025 Graduate Showcase will take the form of an exhibition and informal symposium, delivered in partnership with Leith School of Art, looking at the transition between one level of creative education and another, and the transition to professional practice. Through exhibition, panel discussions, and conversations with graduates, alumni, educators and industry professionals, this event focuses on these talented emerging artists’ work and their experience during their degrees and transitions for education to professional practice.
This event is also aimed at those who are considering a future in the creative sector, foundation students, undergraduates and recent graduates. Attendees will gain valuable insights and perspectives on navigating the next stage of your creative pathway. Whether you are a student, considering applying for an art course, graduate or a practising artist, this is a unique opportunity to connect, learn and be inspired.
Symposium Agenda:
· 2-2.15pm Introduction.
· 2.15-2.30pm Networking bingo.
· 2.30-3.30pm Grads and alumni introducing work and facilitated questions.
· 3.30-4pm Session around freelancing and career pathways.
· 4-4.30pm Questions.
· 4.30-5pm Refreshments and networking.
Getting There:
Albion Road is located off Easter Road near Leith and has excellent transport links. The site has free on street parking and is just a 20-25 minute walk from Princes Street or 20 minutes by regular bus services from the Centre of Edinburgh.
