Paul Cawley will deliver a technical VAT presentation on the VAT implications of supplies of TCSP services that covers matters such as the place of supply of services rules, establishment issues, composite/ mixed supplies and the current compliance and inspections environment. The talk is aimed at individuals with a good working knowledge of VAT on TCSP services.
Paul’s indirect tax career started in 2004 at Isle of Man Customs & Excise where he worked in both VAT and Customs assurance roles. Paul subsequently worked for KPMG in the Crown Dependencies for 11 years, latterly as the director with overall responsibility for indirect taxation, before moving onto an indirect tax consulting role with DQ Advocates - a position he still holds.
In 2024 Paul founded Petra Tax Limited, a specialist indirect tax advisory practice, that focuses UK/ IoM VAT and Customs matters and central EU VAT and Customs matters.
Paul has experience across a range of sectors including maritime, aviation, online gambling and computer games business, financial services, property and international services matters. His work involves advising on transactions, compliance matters and dispute resolution with the tax authorities.
