Event description
The ECR network team are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our next virtual social event!

About this event

The Violence Against Women and Girls Network (VAWGRN) are excited to announce the next virtual social Early Career Researcher (ECR) event.

After the success of our last speed dating social, we will be hosting a similar event on Gather.Town on 21st October!

We will send you your joining instructions a few days before the event. This will include a set of discussion topics and questions to get conversations flowing if needed.

The ‘speed dating’ section of the event will last approximately 35 minutes, with each private conversation lasting 5 minutes. This will mean that you will get to speak to around 6 people during this section, however there will be time to mingle as a group at the beginning and the end of the event.

We will be on hand throughout the event to guide you as you move around the tables clockwise.

Provisional Programme:

6:00pm – Arrive and mingle.

6:10pm – Welcome from the ECR team, Gather functionality and instructions for the evening.

6:15pm-6:50pm: Speed dating (approximately 6 x 5min one to one conversations with ECR colleagues).

6:50pm – Group chat in the roof garden.

7:00pm – Close.

If you are no longer able to attend once you have booked a space, please try to cancel your ticket up to 48 hours before the event as this will allow us to give the space to someone else.

We look forward to seeing you in October!

Organiser Violence Against Women and Girls Research Network

Organiser of VAWGRN Early Career Researcher 'Speed Dating'

The VAWG Research Network aims to bring together researchers providing opportunities to meet regularly, share ongoing, completed and planned research in a supportive environment. Over time we hope researchers from the network will work together to apply for funding, share data and develop new research. Most importantly the VAWG Research Network aims to provide safe spaces to work together, we are stronger together.
