VCS Briefing: Neglect Toolkit and Checklist

Does your organisation work with families where there are children under the age of 18 years? Do you want to gain the skills and confidence to recognise the signs of child neglect? We all have a responsibility to respond to cases of child neglect and keep children safe.

Haringey Safeguarding Children Partnership have developed a Neglect Toolkit and Checklist (https://haringeyscp.org.uk/guidance/neglect).

Join us, online on Wednesday 27 August 2025, 10am to 11am, for a special ‘VCS Briefing’ about the Neglect Toolkit and Checklist – delivered by Emma Higgins from Haringey Early Help, and Sarah Ayodele from Haringey Children and Young People’s Services.

Neglect is the most common reason for taking child protection action. The Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) can play a vital role in multi-agency working to asses, plan, and intervene, to prevent the most harmful effects of neglect.

Organized by

We provide comprehensive support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Haringey, particularly grassroots organisations and under-served groups, to strengthen governance, grow fundraising channels, build capacity, and increase impact.
