Choice and Control: The Power of Personal Health Budgets - Free Learning and Development event

Personal Health Budgets are giving people choice and control and transforming health and wellbeing outcomes. Find out how and what the voluntary and community sector can do to help ensure people can access and make the most effective use of Personal Health Budgets by joining this full day event.

This event is Day 3 of a series of learning and development days across England for the sector, providing you with information, advice, and guidance on the Personal Health Budget process and supporting you to develop an engagement plan and share learning and experiences as a network. This session will set out some of the ways VCSE organisations can collaborate with their local CCGs to make Personal Health Budgets work for people.

  • 11am: The 5 Essentials: How coproduction is central to the programme
  • 11.45am: Break
  • 12 midday: Working in partnership: A CCG and a VCSE Organisation share their experience
  • 12.30pm: PHBs: sorting fact from fiction
  • 1.10pm: Lunch
  • 1.45pm: The key elements of a local framework
  • 2.45pm: Your network
  • 3.30pm: Getting ready for a coproduction event
  • 4pm: Finish

This event is being delivered by the Voluntary Voices Partnership (National Voices, NAVCA and Volunteering Matters) and NHS England as part of the Integrated Personal Commissioning Programme.
