With the festive season approaching, we are delighted to invite you to our Christmas VEECEE.London meet up!

Location: Morton's Private Members Club (map)

Masterclasses

We decided to expand our format, and are pleased to announce master classes, which will take place at 5 pm, before the main event.
  • Nick Gainsley will provide "Introduction to Venture Debt"
  • Dr. Steven Turner from AWS will have a class on AI and ML
Masterclasses will take place from 17:00 to 18:30 and more info can be found at the bottom of this page.

Main Event

Masterclasses will be followed by the quarterly social part, with networking drinks and canapes for venture capital professionals.
Drinks & Food: Free drinks and food
Time: 19:00 - late

Partners

Once again, this event wouldn't be possible without continued generosity of our partners Amazon Web Services, CMS Law and a new entrant to the list Forme Partners.

Sponsors

Raffles

We will be hosting Raffles with special prizes and proceeds going to charity. Please bring cash if you would like to join. Participants of the masterclass will receive a free raffle ticket.

Also check out veecee.co for other events, pictures from previous editions and our blog.

More on the masterclasses:
The debt masterclass will first cover a background on debt as a source of finance and the different types of facilities available and then delving more deeply into venture debt including how it works and when to use and not to use it.

In the AI/ML session, AWS will cover a brief history and heritage of AI/ML at Amazon, system interaction across vision, speech and conversational interfaces demonstrating the services in action. This will then cover Deep Learning / ML on AWS with the supported frameworks and infrastructure and scale to manage the large datasets required, finishing with a summary of the recent exciting announcements and services from AWS re:Invent 2017 (from the week before). This will illustrate how AI/ML is now more accessible to enable developers and data scientists. Removing the barriers to entry this enables organisations to have the agility to focus on driving innovation and change, to maximise data insights and the customer experience.
