This comprehensive 2 day course, delivered in partnership with JJ Roofing Supplies, is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to confidently install VELUX products and effectively communicate their benefits to clients. Across four expertly curated sessions, you’ll explore the full VELUX range, master best practices for installation, and gain insider tips for selecting the right products for any project.

The course not only builds technical expertise but also prepares trainees to take the next step in their careers by positioning them to apply for Certified VELUX Installer status. With practical training, expert guidance, and a supportive environment, attendees will leave confident in both their installation capabilities and their ability to discuss and integrate VELUX solutions into their clients' projects.

What you’ll gain:

• A deep understanding of the VELUX product range, including pitched and flat roof solutions
• Hands-on experience with best practice installation techniques for standard and combination roof windows, as well as flat roof glass windows and roof window maintenance
• Confidence in advising clients on VELUX products and showcasing how they can enhance any project
• Guidance on applying to become a Certified VELUX Installer, with JJ Roofing Supplies covering the first year’s membership fee for all successful trainees (more information below)

Day 1 | Session 1 | Velux Best Practice Training
Kick off the 2-Day VELUX Training Session with a comprehensive introduction to the complete VELUX product range and hands-on guidance for installing VELUX roof windows. Learn insider tips for selecting the right products for any job and gain practical skills with a step-by-step installation demonstration led by expert trainers.

• Expert hints and tips for achieving the best results on site.

Day 1 | Session 2 | Velux Advanced Best Practice Training
Take your skills to the next level with an in-depth look at advanced VELUX roof window combinations. This session provides hands-on experience with the installation of multiple roof window solutions, offering expert insights and practical guidance to streamline your work on site.

• Hands-on, step-by-step installation of a combination roof window solution, including installation products
• Expert tips for achieving flawless results and maximising efficiency
• Learn how the benefits of more daylight can help you scale your business and increase sales

Conclude the session with a Q&A, ensuring all your questions are addressed by the trainer.

Day 2 | Session 3 | Velux Service and Maintenance Training

Begin Day 2 with an essential session on servicing and maintaining VELUX roof windows. Learn how to troubleshoot, repair, and reglaze older models, and gain the knowledge to determine when a replacement is needed. Our Velux trainer, Jamie Palmer-House will guide you through practical demonstrations to ensure you’re equipped with the skills to handle these tasks efficiently.

What to expect:

• Overview of VELUX roof windows and their maintenance-friendly design.
• Troubleshooting tips for older VELUX roof windows.
• How to identify and choose the correct spare parts for repairs.
• Practical guidance on replacing glazing and performing one-to-one replacements, including selecting the correct flashing.

Wrap up the session with a Q&A to address any specific questions.

Session length: 3 hours

Lunch will be provided at the end of this session.

Day 2 | Session 4 | Velux Flat Roof Window Training

Conclude the 2-day course with an in-depth session on VELUX flat roof windows. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the product range and learn how to specify and install flat roof windows correctly. This session combines expert guidance with practical, hands-on training to enhance your confidence and efficiency on site.

What to expect:

• Overview of the complete VELUX flat roof product range
• Hands-on installation of the New Generation Glass Rooflight
• Tips and techniques for achieving the best installation results
• Explore the benefits of flat roof windows and how they can drive increased sales
  

Wrap up with a Q&A session, ensuring you leave with a solid grasp of the material.

Session length: 2 hours

After the session, support will be provided to begin the application process to become a Certified VELUX Installer. JJ Roofing Supplies will cover the first year's membership fee (worth £125 + VAT) for all successful trainees. Additionally, as part of the JJ Roofing Supplies and VELUX Training Partnership, more courses will be available to further your knowledge throughout 2025. These can be booked for free via Eventbrite.
