Equipment List for Venepuncture:
Congratulations you have been invited to attend a venipuncture workshop.
You should ensure that you have completed before attending the session your Care Certificate, ANTT competency sign off and have an agreed mentor to assess you in practice agreed by your ward manager
Equipment needed is as follows:
• 6 Butterfly (green or Blue)
• 6 Alcohol Swabs or 6 2% chlorhexidine & 70& alcohol (blue) swabs
• 6 vacutainers
• Pack of Gauze
• Specimen Bag
• Torniquet
• Blank Blood request form
• Blood Bottles
o 6 Chemistry (yellow)
o 6 Coagulation (blue)
o 6 Full blood count (purple)
o 3 crossmatch (pink)
