Overview

Training is aimed at nursing home staff and is suitable for both nurses new to VoEAD and those wanting to refresh their skills.

This training is only available to Derbyshire based Nursing Homes

You will gain the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to be competent to carry out verification of expected adult death.

This course consists of:

A morning 2hr classroom theory session which covers:

How to maintain skills competency around verifying expected adult death and where to find resources.

The legal and professional responsibilities of verifying expected adult death.

How to support and provide appropriate information to the bereaved family, friends and carers.

An afternoon 1hr assessment in pairs which consists of:

A verbal question & answer assessment and an OSCE (Observation of practice) which meets competency required

This course will contribute 3 hours of CPD towards NMC Revalidation

We charge a booking fee of £10 - this is non - refundable.
