Are you passionate about shaping the future of your community or sector? Verture invites you to take part in our upcoming Place-Based Strategy Workshops, a series of collaborative sessions. These workshops are designed to bring together diverse voices from across Scotland, allowing us to co-create practical, people-centred strategies for a fairer, more resilient future.
What to Expect:
- Time commitment: The sessions will run for two hours and will involve a mix of presentations and interactive group sessions.
- Open and Inclusive Atmosphere: We’re keen to hear from people with a wide range of perspectives – whether you’re based in a particular place or work with particular communities, especially those often excluded from mainstream strategy processes. That includes disabled people, BME communities, and people in rural or island areas. Everyone has something to contribute.
- Realistic and Action-Focused: Each session is designed to be practical and achievable, focusing on what we can do together right now and in the near future.
- Participants' wellbeing: Refreshments will be provided during the workshop and travel expenses/childcare costs etc will reimbursed for anyone representing a community group. We can also provide £50 vouchers to anyone on a low income who might need support in attending
Who Should Attend? We want to hear from a wide range of people:
- Community members and leaders
- Representatives from voluntary, public, and private sectors
- People with lived experience of disability, migration, or rural life
- Anyone interested in building a more inclusive, climate-resilient Scotland
Why Take Part?
- Help set priorities for place-based action in your area or sector.
- Tell us what’s working, what isn’t, and what you hope to see in the future.
- Meet others who care about making a difference and learn from their experiences.
Let’s work together to create strategies that reflect the real needs and ambitions of Scotland’s communities.
