Verve is Birmingham's inaugural Poetry & Spoken Word Festival, taking place February 16 - 19, 2017.

Held in Waterstones Birmingham's beautiful city centre store, the festival welcomes Sarah Howe, Mona Arshi, Anthony Anaxagorou, Sabrina Mahfouz, Luke Kennard, Kim Moore, Melissa Lee-Houghton, Helen Mort, Daljit Nagra, Soweto Kinch, Dean Atta, and many more brilliant poets.   • Concession tickets are available for students, senior citizens and those registered as disabled or unemployed. Please select your concession ticket from the drop down for each event.

  • Waterstones Birmingham is easily accessible by car, train, bus and tram. The bookstore is a two minute walk from Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Moor Street stations, and a ten minute walk from Birmingham Snow Hill.
