Who is this Academy Live session for?

Veterinary surgeons completing their VetGDP. VetGDP advisors may also find this session useful. 

Overview

This session will explore the purpose and structure of the VetGDP and how this can support you. We will examine what Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) are and how to apply EPAs within VetGDP. There will be an opportunity to ask recent graduates, advisors and peer-reviewers questions about the process. 

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify the purpose and structure of the VetGDP and understand how it can support you   
  • Apply Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) within VetGDP   

Session speakers

Jenny Soreskog-Turp, RCVS Lead for post graduate education

Jenny is the leading the postgraduate team at RCVS with a focus on life-long learning and advancing standards. She is responsible for implementing the outcomes based CPD requirement, including 1CPD and is leading the new clinical career pathway project. 

Britta Crawford, RCVS Senior Education Officer

Britta is a Senior Education Officer in the Education Team and leads on the VetGDP project. She is also secretary to the Education Committee.
