Event description

Description

"Seven has always been my lucky number in life. I constantly find inspiration in the number seven: the shape of it, the sound of it, the meanings and what it represents. It’s the seven wonders of the world, it’s lucky seven, it’s the seven days of the week, and now for me it’s Seven Deadly Sins."

Experience an immersive, four storey installation that brings to life the Seven Deadly Sins, curated by fashion maverick Carine Roitfeld and hosted by champagne brand Veuve Clicquot. Walk through a series of spaces to visualise each sin - let the bejewelled hands of greed grasp you in your step, enter into the sensual world of latex lust and descend a staircase of ethereal butterflies to find humility.

Tom Ford will be dressing the seven ‘Carine’ hostesses, and FENDI will provide lavish fabrics and a couture outfit for the sin of ‘Wrath’. Atsuko Kudo, the designer behind Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora's famous latex dress designs, will also be co-curating the installation for the sin of ‘Lust’. No detail will be overlooked in this years curation and in line with this, renowned Italian designer Gianvito Rossi will be providing the shoes for the series. Also joining Carine on the Widow Series as Creative Director is artist Patrick Kinmonth, internationally acclaimed opera set director and costume designer, who works alongside his co creative-director in their company “The Visual Clinic”, Antonio Monfreda, famed for his artistic work with Italian fashion house Fendi. Both will support Carine to bring this chic exhibition to life.

There will be two sessions per evening, on the 20th and 21st of October.

Tickets include one glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and you will be able to purchase additional drinks. Payment will only be taken on card.

50% of the sale price of each ticket will benefit amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series pays homage to the revolutionary founder of the house, Madame Clicquot, who was famously widowed in October 1805. A trailblazer of her time, she single-handedly took on her late husband’s champagne business, and went on to pioneer several industry innovations whilst demonstrating her unparalleled creative dexterity. Now firmly established on the London calendar, this annual event allows Veuve Clicquot to seek seminal creatives who have an unfulfilled desire or passion project they wish to bring to life mirroring the values of Madame Clicquot.
