The Vietnamese Family Partnership (VFP) invites you to a special VFP Day dedicated to Reframing Resilience and celebrating Where Tradition Meets Transformation. This is a community event for everyone—all ages and backgrounds are welcome to join us for part of the day or stay for the whole celebration!
What's Happening?
We've designed a full day of activities to engage and inspire. Come and experience the richness of Vietnamese culture and the strength of our community.
- 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Art & Craft: Lantern Making! A Symbol of Resilience: Unleash your creativity by crafting beautiful, unique lanterns from recycled materials. This workshop symbolises how a new purpose can be found in old forms, representing the resilience and creativity of our community.
- 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Lion Dance Workshop! Honouring Tradition: Experience the power and legacy of the traditional Lion Dance. Learn the basic moves and rhythms of this spectacular art form, celebrating a tradition that connects generations and has been transformed for today's world.
- 4:00 PM Onwards: VFP Volunteers Gathering: Celebrating Our Community: A special thank you and a chance to connect for our incredible VFP volunteers. Your dedication is the backbone of our community, and we want to celebrate you!
- 7:00 PM Onwards: Vietnamese Evening: Dance & Karaoke: An Evening of Transformation: Wrap up the day with vibrant music, traditional and modern dance, and a lively karaoke session! This is your chance to shine and connect with others through the joy of song and movement. Admission: £5 per person, payable at the front door.

Tickets: Daytime admission is free, but please register for a ticket so we can get a headcount for materials and catering. A small fee of £5 per person applies for the evening festivities, which can be paid at the door.
