About this event

Mark St Andrew’s Day with VHS by joining us for our Annual Lecture and AGM on Wednesday 30th November 2022, and enjoy a networking lunch of miniature haggis, neeps and tatties. Taking place at the wonderful Scottish Storytelling Centre 43-45 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1SR, the programme runs from 10.00 am (registration from 9.30 am) to 12.30 pm.

We have two first-rate speakers this year, who will approach the theme of inequalities from their particular perspectives:

Susan Murray, Director of The David Hume Institute an independent think tank based in Scotland, working to encourage diversity of thought and increase understanding about the economy and related public policy.

Susan Brown, Assistant Clerk to the Scottish Parliament’s Health, Social Care and Sport Committee, which published Tackling health inequalities in Scotland on 28th September 2022, the findings and recommendations of its Inquiry into health inequalities.

This event is free to attend and will be of interest to anyone with an active involvement or interest in health related policy, research or practice, whatever sector you are involved in. We extend an especially warm invitation to all our members, as the event will incorporate a short AGM, but non-members are equally very welcome.

Please note, this is an in-person event.
