Is this a professional production?

This is an amateur production by Wigan Autistic Theatre Company. Which have been granted the rights to put on the production by Ian Gower. The stage adaptation is based on the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer. Produced by Tiger Aspect Productions.

Is this at The Old Courts?

No, this event is taking place at St. Michaels Hall, 18 Shaw St, Wigan, WN1 2BQ.

Question 3

What time does the show end?

Accepted Answer

We expect the show to be finished between 9:30pm - 10:00pm.

Question 4

Does your shows have a BSL interpreter?

Accepted Answer

Our Saturday performance will have a BSL interpreter. The other performances will not.

Is there a relaxed performance

Accepted Answer

Saturdays performance will be a relaxed performance however as a neurodivergent ran organisation, we are understanding and try our best to accommodate the needs of our audiences and performers as best we can.

Is the venue Wheelchair accessible

Accepted Answer

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. You are welcome to remain in your chair as we have dynamic unreserved seating. If you wish to transfer to a seat this will need to be done independently. Our team are unable to physcially support for the safety of both staff and audiences.

Are there accessible toilets?

Yes, Fully-accessible toilets are found in the corridor beyond the church

Is there nearby car parking available?

Accepted Answer

There is limited parking available behind the church, in private car park shared with users of the church hall. There is a public car park in Woodside Road with a pedestrian exit opposite the church. No charge for this in the evening or on Sundays.

Do you have a loop system?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do have a loop system however we are currently undergoing training to operate the loop system. This may or may not be in time for these performances. Please let us know by emailing wiganatc@outlook.com if this would prevent you from experiencing our performances.

Will Dawn French be there?

Accepted Answer

No, none of the cast of the original BBC sitcom will be performing. This is an amateur production by Wigan Autistic Theatre Company and is made up of a cast of wonderful performers that have worked hard rehearsing weekly at The Old Courts.
