Event description

Description

Horsehead theatre company presents

a new play written by Jeanette Hill with original music by Hugh Stewart.

Supported by Gorbals Ideas Fund.

Betty and Maureen want their pensions back and their kids want homes, jobs and mental health services. They are living the nightmare of Austerity Britain including the brutal benefits system, cruel employment practices and threat of homeslessness.

Darkly comic with plenty of laughs, music and dance as well as politics as only Glasgow can.
A night of quality entertainment. Bring your mammy, especially if she was born in the 1950s.
Or you 1950s wummin bring yer pals or even your man. They'll be laughing, greetin, shouting and singing and does she no deserve a night oot.
Jamie from Outlander will be naked serving the wine ! (thats a lie says the director in case we get sued)
